OUR CURRICULUM

 

1: MAJOR LIFTS

First few sessions are spent preparing you to be on the floor coaching the major lift you will see with most teams.

2: SPEED, AGILITY AND COD TRAINING

We take you through different methods of speed, agility and cod methods in a presentation. The following session that week is a practical session of the intern/coaching assistant going through some of those methods.

3: PRE-INTERVIEW PREP WORK

We spend time going over the interns/coaching assistants resume and other typical application materials. We will also take time to do mock interviews and presentations on various topics assigned.

 

4: CONDITIONING

We will do a presentation on different methods of conditioning and the needs analysis for different sports. The following session will be a practical session implementing some of those methods.

5: ATHLETE MONITORING

We will spend time going over all of our tech and different methods of implementation for those devices.

Additional Information About Application Tracks:

  1. Class Credit: Seeking undergraduate or graduate level class credit from their institution. This is a one semester commitment (fall, spring or summer).

  2. Pursuing CSCS: For coaches looking to sit for the NSCA’s CSCS. We will pay for the fees associated with the test at the end of the internship. This is a one semester commitment (fall, spring or summer).

  3. Pursuing SCCC: For coaches looking to sit for the CSCCa’s SCCC. You will be supervised by an approved mentor and we will pay for fees associated with the test. This is a 2 semester commitment and must be completed in the fall and spring semesters. The intern/coaching assistant will take the test at the end of the spring semester in May.
