OUR CURRICULUM
1: BASIC EXERCISE TECHNIQUE
Lifting fundamentals will be understood and applied for fundamental movement patterns of squat, hinge, push, pull, and Olympic Lifts. Additionally, movement fundamentals in dynamic warmup/locomotion, linear speed, change of direction & agility, and jumps, hops, and bounds will be understood.
2: TRAINING THEORY & APPLICATION
A broad overview of different "philosophies" and systems of periodization (planning). Training theory will address global planning, reverse engineering, needs analysis from the macro to the micro.
3: CHANGE OF DIRECTION/AGILITY
Design 6 week COD/Agility program for sport.
4: SPEED DEVELOPMENT
Design 6 week early off-season linear speed program for field sport of choice
5: JUMPS & PLYOMETRICS
Design 6 week jump program for court sport of choice.
6: STRENGTH TRAINING
Design 6 week progression of maximal strength for the Back Squat & supporting accessories.
7: ENERGY SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT
Understand and design a 6 week ESD program for sport.
8: TECHNOLOGY/SPORTS SCIENCE
Understand and apply all of the available technology at our disposal.
9: INTERVIEW PREPARATION
Find a job intern would be interested in and prepare all relevant materials (resume, cover letter, professional portfolio, etc).
